Mary Blair, Beyond Compare Fine Art Print

Shag's Mary Blair, Beyond Compare is a tribute to pivotal illustrator, colorist, and designer Mary Blair. She created the concept art for Disney films such as Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, and Cinderella. In 1964, at the request of Walt Disney, she designed the New York World's Fair attraction, It's a Small World. Two years later, it was installed permanently at Disneyland in Anaheim, California.

This limited-edition fine art print celebrates Mary and the art she created from her mid-century modern home and studio in Kings Point, New York. The 3 acre secluded home, where Mary's sons Donovan and Kevin grew up, housed the family of 4 along with the family's pets, Sam (the black lab) and Ferrari (orange tabby cat).

Mary Blair, Beyond Compare is an official collaboration between the Estate of Mary Blair and Shag.

There were 17 passes of bright ink colors for added depth and better color saturation for this serigraph fine art print. Serigraph printing is an intensive process that utilizes a silk screen technique to recreate an original artwork on special archival paper so you can have Shag’s (Josh Agle) artwork for lifetimes of enjoyment.
